AECS Research Global (ARG) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its consulting mandate for the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF), delivering a comprehensive institutional Detailed Project Report (DPR) and design engineering package for the city’s sewerage infrastructure overhaul.
This project, executed under CM Announcement Code No. 10187, represents a significant milestone in urban utility planning, with a total project value of INR 158 Crores. ARG has successfully navigated the complex technical and strategic requirements to deliver a future-ready sanitation roadmap for the city.
Delivered Scope: Engineering Urban Resilience
Moving beyond standard consultancy, ARG’s Technical Desk executed a rigorous "Urban Retrofit" strategy. The completed mandate covered the end-to-end lifecycle from forensic auditing to bid process management, ensuring the Municipal Corporation is equipped with a bankable, technically sound execution plan.
Key Technical Deliverables Achieved:
Comprehensive Forensic Surveys: Successfully completed extensive Topographical, Geo-technical, and Hydrological surveys, creating a high-fidelity data model of the existing terrain and subsurface conditions to guide the augmentation.
Hybrid Pipeline Design (35 Km): Delivered the detailed design for 35 km of sewer lines (200 mm to 1200 mm diameter). To ensure asset longevity, the design specifies RCC pipes with HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) lining, combining structural strength with chemical resistance against sulfide corrosion.
Trenchless Rehabilitation Strategy (6.6 Km): Finalized the engineering for the rehabilitation of 6.6 km of existing infrastructure using Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining. This trenchless approach was selected to minimize surface disruption in high-traffic zones.
Advanced Engineering Solutions:
Engineered Micro-Tunneling solutions for deep sewer installations in high-density urban clusters.
Designed Decentralized Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) to optimize local load management.
Completed rehabilitation and upgradation plans for Intermediate Pumping Stations (IPS).
Strategic Cost & Bid Management: Delivered precise hydraulic and structural calculations, followed by exhaustive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and Tender Documents. ARG successfully managed the Bid Process, ensuring the selection of a capable construction agency for the execution phase.
Strategic Impact
The successful submission of this DPR marks a critical step forward for Faridabad’s sanitary infrastructure. By integrating Gap Analysis with Strategic Cost Advisory, ARG has provided the Municipal Corporation with a blueprint that balances immediate capacity needs with long-term capital efficiency.
