Baduria, West Bengal, India
AECS Research Global (ARG) was commissioned by the Sewerage & Drainage Department to lead a comprehensive infrastructure overhaul covering all major zones (A, B, C, and D) of Baduria. Acting as the lead technical consultant, ARG delivered a holistic solution that addressed critical urban needs—from arterial road networks to complex water management systems. By combining advanced hydraulic engineering with strategic project management, we ensured the delivery of resilient civic infrastructure essential for public health and urban mobility across the entire division.
Strategic Planning and Hydraulic Engineering The mandate required a scientific approach to urban infrastructure to address the diverse needs of the entire municipality. ARG initiated the project with extensive Site Surveys to map the existing terrain and infrastructure constraints across all four zones. This data formed the basis for the Detailed Project Report (DPR), which served as the master blueprint for the development.
A cornerstone of our engineering contribution was the performance of rigorous Hydraulic Calculations. These calculations drove the precise design of efficient Water Supply grids, Surface Drainage networks, and Storm Water Sewers, ensuring the system could handle peak loads and prevent waterlogging throughout the city. Simultaneously, our team produced detailed Architectural & Allied Drawings for the supporting infrastructure and road networks, creating a seamless interface between underground utilities and surface transport systems.
Procurement Management and Financial Control To ensure the project was executed within the allocated budget, ARG provided Strategic Cost Advisory services. We prepared the detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and managed the drafting of Tender Documents, setting clear technical and financial parameters for contractors. This rigorous preparation facilitated a transparent bidding process and the selection of capable partners for the execution of these critical works.
Supervision, Quality Control, and Delivery Transitioning to the construction phase, ARG served as the guardian of quality. Our team provided continuous Supervision & Quality Control, monitoring on-site activities to ensure compliance with the complex hydraulic and structural designs. This scope included the regular preparation of progress reports and the Verification of Bills, ensuring that public funds were utilized efficiently and that the infrastructure delivered met the highest standards of durability and safety.
